The actress made this known while reflecting on the difference between relatives and those who truly deserve a place in one’s life.
According to her, relatives are people connected to us by blood and are given the first opportunity to become family, but some may fail to build that relationship through their actions.
She explained that a relative becomes family when the blood connection is strengthened by love, loyalty, honesty, presence and a genuine desire to see one another happy and successful.
Mary Remmy Njoku added that anyone who resents another person’s happiness, undermines their growth, disappears when they are needed or secretly wishes to see them fail should not automatically be regarded as family simply because of a blood connection.
“A relative becomes family when that blood connection is strengthened by love, loyalty, honesty, presence, and a genuine desire to see you happy and succeed,” she stated.
She described such relatives as people who have “failed the interview,” adding that some could even be considered a “RESIDENT EVIL.”
